Motion sensors use passive infra-red (PIR) technology to monitor for a variety of different needs. The 60° beam width is best for use in typical security types of monitoring. Human bodies or med/large sized animals can be detected at a range of up to 5 meters, alerting you when someone (or something) is where it shouldn’t be. Use the 100° version of the sensors for tracking applications. Designed to be placed under a desk, a cubicle, a conference room table, the sensor can be implemented by companies as part of room scheduling and space booking programs, showing what desks are available/unoccupied within a building, how effectively space is being utilized or underutilized, etc.
